Personal recommendation - DON'T ORDER PARCELS FROM SUTTONS.
Ordered a yuzu tree on the 21st February 2021. Was advised that the estimated delivery date for my plant would be April 8th 2021. The date came and went with no delivery.
Chased delivery in early May and was advised it would be 7-10 days. Parcel was a no show. Chased again as they are clearly unable to deliver and asked for a refund.
Response was "we are unable to offer you a refund as your order has been processed". No delivery notification and no date given for delivery.
Mid June - parcel still is not delivered. I am still being declined a refund as my order is "processed" - except that their own terms and conditions as of the 17th June 2021 state the following:
"Orders for perishable and personalised goods may be cancelled up to the point of delivery but not once delivery has been made."
Plants = perishable goods.
It appears (theory!!) that Suttons are attempting to delay giving refunds and then declining said refunds, based on the fact that they have delivered a perishable good.
Appalling. Will never order from them again. Will continue chasing for a refund.
