Description of property on the website did not match the details in the confirmation booking email. On reading the email I realised instantly that this property did not meet out needs for access and we would not be able to visit.
I contacted Sykes to see if I could arrange a refund, which I think is fair as there is nothing on the website that indicates the access issue. They have refused point blank to offer even a partial refund. As the booking was made within 4 weeks of going, and despite there only being a matter of hours between booking and trying to cancel, I have had to pay the full amount to cancel.
Sykes are really horrible people to deal with and I hope never to have anything to do with them again. Now got no money and no holiday, but an free of the stress of dealing with them ever again.
