Booked via booking.com drive 8 hours to the cottage location to then be told that the booking had been cancelled due to an error on booking.com side. So I drove the further 20 minutes to the cottage location to then be told by the owner that the cottage hasn’t been w and that they don’t accept emergency bookings yet it’s booked for Saturday to Friday as to book Friday to Friday it was £350 more than Saturday to Friday!
I phoned skys holiday cottages about the situation bare in mind it is the bank holiday and I have just driven 8 hours to get here they said they will issue a refund that will be with me beteeen 3-5 working days. So now I’m stuck 8 hours from home and cannot get any accommodation being bank holiday weekend and still out of pocket for the full amount pre paid.
Full refund should be with us in 3-5 working days but what about the fuel spent on the way down and back? I’m seeking further advice for compensation for that too!
Great start to mine and my Darling wife’s honeymoon looks like we’re sleeping in the car tonight and driving back home tomorrow. Absolute shambles!
