Terrible company taken all my money knowing my holiday would not go ahead all I get is generic emails. Last generic email told me to rebook for next year. If I wanted a refund they would have to contact the cottage owner to see if she agrees and then they would keep approximately 35% + VAT for their commission!!!!! Which is what the cottage owner normally pays so why am I having to pay it??Cleverly they say it’s a credit that will stay in your account to use within 24 months. They are making up their own rules as they go along.
When I booked the holiday back in January they promoted their insurance for me to take out which I did. I have tried to claim through the insurance, filled in the form no reply and still waiting for even an acknowledgement. Absolutely despicable company. Thousands of people are chasing them for refunds even the cottage owners are giving notice as they don’t want to be associated with them.
I hope Sykes are investigated for all that they are doing
