As a cottage owner contracted to Sykes I gave them notice to terminate our contract as I’ve been appalled by the way they’ve treated both holidaymakers and owners during the COVID19 crisis. It took them 8 days to acknowledge this - and then only after I called them out over Twitter - because, in their own words ‘they had an awful lot of terminations of contracts to get through’. Hardly surprising. They closed their call centre, won’t answer emails and yet have plenty of time to advertise and comment on their social media pages. Their customer service (Or lack of it), has been shocking... wont give full refunds and trying to pit holidaymakers and owners against each other. The only winner out of this whole situation appears to be Sykes, who seem to think they above Government guidance and make the rules up as they go along. Can’t wait to be free of them as an owner and will never book a holiday through them again either. I begrudge giving them even 1 star.
