Firstly regarding Sykes you just cannot get a response from them, they don't answer the telephone nor do they respond to e mails.Therefore you can resolve sweet nothing.
Finally, I would just say given our overall experience with this outfit I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole again.
We lost our £180 deposit but it could have been much much worse if we hadn't been a bit sharp cancelling the final payment.
