Booked to go away in Devon end of July. We decided to cancel due to being too worried about the pandemic to travel. I emailed them numerous times to cancel but it would take several days for any reply and they weren’t accepting any calls. They only emailed me back when I was enquiring about moving it to next year which they wanted MORE money for. As soon as I said to cancel they ignored my email. I ended up cancelling on the app before the full payment was due. Luckily we paid the low deposit option and called the bank to stop them taking any money. Once they realised they couldn’t take the rest of the “deposit” they kept sending me emails saying for me to pay “now” or further action will be taken. Funnily enough they actually bothered calling when they couldn’t get hold of funds.
If your worried that they are going to take funds straight from your bank (which they will even if you cancel) then call the bank to block them taking any funds. When we called the bank to do this for us they said they have had so many calls about Sykes- people trying to get their money back from them/ putting stops on them taking money.
