I had a spongy??!! flat roof that was about 20 years old. A few local roof companies come in & quoted. Upon researching them further, I did not think that some of them would be around for the next 20 years to honour their guarantees. A surveyor friend recommended TCK (who have been around since 1969 and long may they prosper!) Thomas (one of many talented and charming brothers) came along and talked me thru possible problems and the need for insulation etc. I had skylights built in and we discussed changing them to triple glazed glass. Although their quote was dearer than the others, it was worth paying the premium. Chris (another brother)- relaxed and meticulous in managing his team, some who have been with TCK for over a decade supervised the work and got stuck in as well. His team were professional, hardworking and experienced. Health & Safety was prioritised with fire extinguishers placed by the bitumen boiler etc. The job wasn’t rushed, on site problems were pointed out & remedied including spotting a TV ariel that had caused a chimney to move!. Photographs were provided to document the work and Warranty certificates provided immediately after payment. So, refreshing to experience tradecraft and courtesy in this day & age.
