I placed an order for an iPad 10 on 3 September and received it two weeks later. While the device appeared to be brand new, it came preconfigured with Remote Management, making it impossible for me to set up. I promptly reported this issue to Techinthebasket. However, after a series of delays, I was asked to provide photos of the package and a video demonstrating the setup problem, which I did.
Subsequently I received a message stating “this issue has been raised internally.” However, for the entire following week, there was no further communication. I made two additional inquiries but received no response. Growing increasingly frustrated, I made the difficult decision to return the product for a refund. The company requested that I pay the postage fee for the return, despite my explanation that the issue was not my fault, but rather that I had received the wrong product. Unfortunately, my request went unanswered.
Eventually, the company agreed to the refund and stated the process would take 3 to 7 working days. However, as of today 1 November, after 10 working days, I am still waiting for the refund to appear in my account.
The issue when dealing with their customer support is a total lack of response, long delays, actions not following their words, and not actively solving customer problems. Additionally, while their website lists a contact number, it lacks extension information, resulting in my calls being abruptly disconnected. The online chat feature also proved to be unhelpful.
Regrettably, this has been an extremely disappointing experience. I understand that some people give this company a 5-star rating on Trustpilot since they are lucky to receive the correct product. However, once you encounter a problem, such as receiving the wrong product like myself, the nightmare can begin. Therefore I would caution anyone against making purchases from this company.
