Had this trip planned for at least 26 years, finally got the money to do Vegas, staying at the bellagio over Easter 2020, paid our trip in full, as it was going from Gatwick we booked a hotel and parking, 140.00 this cost us, anyway six weeks before we were going we had a call from teletext saying our outbound flight was cancelled, we could go the following day and lose a day off our hols with no refund or we coukd go a day earlier and pay over 200.00 plus extra money for accommodation in Vegas for the extra night, it has taken my husband to speak to my employer as we are normally not allowed time off at Easter, our busiest time, but as it was our 27 th wedding anniversary, this was granted, we phoned ba and they were not really that helpful as we had no booking number for ba which ment we were never booked onto that flight in the first instance, but he did leave us a lovely nugget saying, how come they never offered offer you the same holiday but going from Heathrow at more or less the same time, can you imagine how we felt knowing that was never ever offered to us, I have even emailed your ceo and had no reply as I really think the 140.00 for my hotel which I can no longer use should be compensated as really is not my fault. I have had a full refund on the holiday but this really is not good enough, how can you treat people like this and be able to sleep at night. My time is precious with my husband and I get five weeks off per year, and I trusted you to fulfill my dreams and all you did was stamp on them.
