After informing teletext that I would not be accepting any voucher etc from them as I want a full refund to my credit card, they sent me a email with a PDF of a voucher for the accommodation part, but that they could not send one for the flights (EasyJet) as they were awaiting the refund from them!
They know they are breaking laws but they don’t give a dam as I suspect they are trying to get even more money in, not just the money that they are with holding from customers already and will just I suspect go into liquidation then open up again in a different name just as they have in the past.
They don’t care that they have given a bad name to the travel industry but also with India, they truly are despicable people.
In fact they and all other travel companies should adopt what Trailfinders do by keeping customers monies in a account and not pay airlines etc until the customer has had what they have paid for, just as estate agents, solicitors etc. do. ( Simon Calder ) mentioned this in a interview on television with a MP the other day. If travel companies had to do that as those other companies/businesses do their would be no way that a company such as Teletext would/could exist.
In fact with the voucher that they are trying to get its customers to accept by stating/admitting they have been paid for accommodation so are actually blatantly holding onto that money!
They have the audacity to also say that customers who have been given and I state given not accepted though as in my case, that they can use it by re-booking with them, my goodness as if any customer would re-book with them. Plus the replies to some of the reviews are also despicable as they are total liars.
