Bought the Stingray Double Stack and finally got to really use it last night. I bought the double stack because we have three boys and we wanted a big enough tent for the whole family. It works great for that purpose and the boys think it’s the coolest tent ever. Here is a link to a quick video of the tent set up https://youtu.be/pirgx48PwgM Cons: - The bubble bug net should be taller so that the stacks can separate more from each other, especially because it comes with a six foot rope ladder. - The trillium hammock separates from the bug netting when laid on. There is a zipper on the netting so you can attach it to the ground kit bug netting, but there should also be a zipper on the hammock so it doesn’t leave gaps allowing bugs in. Pros: - The boys slept on the top and when they moved it didn’t affect us on the bottom and vice versa. - During dinner it started to rain, we were able to move all the chairs under the tent, staying dry while we ate. - Other tents I’ve always woken up with my sleeping back damp since I’m 6’3” and that was not the case with this tent. - Much more comfortable than sleeping on the ground. Lessons Learned: - Set up the trillium hammock first and then use it as a platform for the Stingray. Put poles and rain fly all on before ratcheting it up. - Set up the hammocks, lay in them so that all the slack is pulled out of the straps, and then tighten them back up. This will help to keep the middle from sagging and you sliding into the middle. - We are going to put a small 6” level to help make sure all corners are level so we don’t slide to one end.
