I have to be honest and say I felt the course was a complete waste of time! The teacher was dreadful, she spent the morning discussing what other courses people were taking and the content of those courses. We were not 'shown' how to do anything, it was more a case of just 'get on with it', not even showing an interest in what we were doing or the final results. When I asked questions about techniques or equipment, she prefered to say its all in the booklet, which is most unhelpful if the question relates to what we are supposed to be doing. I asked about how to clip a cuticle and said I would prefer she show me than I just risk it myself, she did my partners cuticle and made her finger bleed, then just walked away without so much an explaination or sorry, or offer a plaster, or any hygiene advice. My partner was most upset! She just really came across that she couldnt be bothered and everything was too much hassle, completely demotivating and uninspiring. I have since had emails from other girls on the same course that day and we all felt the same, that we have learnt more by watching youtube videos than on the actual training day, which is such a shame as we were all so keen and eager to learn.
