I attended the UV nail extensions course on Tuesday 1st April in Kings Cross. The course itself was very outdated and personally I haven’t seen anyone using UV gel on their nails or any nail tech that does that. The products we used were old and stinky probably expired. When I booked this course it was a part of three courses named the complete nail tech course. Which in my opinion clarifies that after those courses you will be a complete nail tech. However not knowing much about nails and nail techniques I thought it was a more relevant course including hard gel application. That was my bad! When I booked and paid the courses I tried to call the Academy multiple times on the phone number they provided on their website however the calls wouldn’t get through. On the course day I was me and just one more girl, even though the academy claims that it’s a very popular course. The other girl thought the same, that she booked some hard gel application as well. The teacher that “thought” us that day was very chatty but not regarding nails. We didn’t learn anything about nail prep but we knew everything about her niece moving to Australia and how happy she is with the life she has now, and so much more! This specific teacher is not a nail tech so she knew only a few things memorized from theory but she had her notes on the side. I don’t think it’s right to pay that much money for a course and not get at least a proper teacher to teach you. The course it was so boring that we finished our two sets and left by 3:35pm cause there was nothing she could’ve advised us with. However I would like to say a big big thank you to Summer and Kris for the other courses I attended. They were brilliant, kind and amazing teachers! I didn’t have a single question at the end of the courses because they answered every single one! I’m sorry I can’t give more stars but the last course was something else.
