We went to buy wine for my daughter’s future wedding, as well as some wine for ourselves. The choice was good as were the prices. As it was quite a distance to drive we took advantage of the free overnight ferry crossing to enable a small break. As it was our first trip Calais Wine advised us on payments for wine, restaurant (Le Channel on their site was superb), and B&B. Being able to taste the wine was great and they also took a pre order for a French sparkling wine (as we were worried it could run out) with the option to change it if it didn’t taste as good as a similar one in Waitrose. If anything it tasted better than the Waitrose Cave de Lugny NV and was £6 a bottle cheaper and not the £4 they suggest! What a fantastic experience with great service!
