These boundary collars have changed my life! After our much loved dog, who never even thought about leaving the property, sadly died of cancer we eventually were ready to have another friend and got two Labrador x border collie kelpie pups. From the time they became independent they were off! We live on 10 acres and have nativewombats. Each night the wombats would make more holes in the fences and each morning I would walk around the property plugging up the holes with ricks and corrugated iron. It was exhausting. I have never been a fan of boundary collars but I was out of options. I put the wiring around the 5 acres that comprises our ‘home’ paddock. It took less than a day to train our dogs. They understood immediately. Interestingly they have different levels of the shock component on their collars to account for their different personalities. They have not escaped once. The wombats are free to do whatever they like and the pups are safe and sound. Thank you Dogline!!
