The throttle body in my 2001 BMW 740i was not responding when depressing the accelerator pedal. Checked the wiring between the pedal, DME and throttle body. Everything appeared fine. However, the engine was idling extremely rough (due to the throttle valve not responding). Decided it may be the DME. Sent DME to ECU Pro, tested it on a similar engine as mine, and made a video confirming the DME unit was working properly. To keep the story brief, we determined one of the fuses that fed the signal to the throttle body was burnt. The fuse failed due to a faulty MAP sensor (signal wire shorted to ground). The work done by The ECU Pro team was very helpful in confirming the DME unit was not damaged by the faulty MAP sensor. The video they produced with my DME unit running on a similar vehicle as mine was superb (in this case a video is worth a thousand words). The turnaround time for ECU Pro to test and confirm DME operation was one week. Absolutely a great job.
