I almost gave up hope. My BMW 545 couldn’t idle. The throttle body kept flapping open and shut upon ignition. The master BMW mechanic meticulously diagnosed every connection. The last resort was testing the DME. I shipped out the DME, CAS, and key to ECU Pro with the hope of a miracle. ECU Pro promptly tested the DME and found the throttle valve circuit was shorted and couldn’t be repaired. With prompt communication along the way, they located a replacement DME and cloned all the DME programming. We installed the DME and voila the car started and idled just like new.
