I had heard wonderful things about Muck Boots, and purchased a pair of the Arctic tall Muck Boots, suede, with zipper back via online store because the boots are not sold in my area. I was a little apprehensive because I was not able to try on the boots beforehand. They were way too large (I wear a 6.5 so purchased a 7 but could have fit two of my feet in each boot) and very heavy. I called customer service and discussed the proper way to size the boots and asked to purchase the regular Arctic neoprene boots in exchange. The representative said I could return the original purchase and would need to purchase the new boots under a separate transaction; when the original purchased boots were received, I would receive a credit back to my credit card. I received a shipping label via email. The original boots were received by Muck Boot Company on November 27. I called Muck Boot Company on November 30, and was told the credit would have to be done manually by a supervisor and since this was the busy season may take a few days. I was not told that when I asked for the original credit. While I am very happy with the new boots and wear them all the time, as of December 8, I still have not received a credit to my account for the original pair. Yesterday, December 7, I received email notice that the credit had been processed, but it may take 2-10 days to go through. So I am not very satisfied with the customer service although I do like the replacement boots. However, this will cause me to think long before doing business with Muck Boot Company again. Electronic transactions are process almost immediately and this credit should also have been.
