When my pen arrived in Chicago the ink cartridges had broken open and there was ink spilled everywhere. I contacted The Pen Co. and they quickly reimbursed me for the cartridges, and after a good rinse the pen is good as new. We agreed this problem was a result of the extremely cold (-17C!) temperatures this winter. I love my pen! Thanks to the Pen Co. for their quick and satisfying response. I will most certainly purchase from them again!
