So my GF decided to buy me a gift for xmas 2015 and it wasn't quite the watch that I wanted so without wearing it I looked online to find a nicer watch more along the line of what my taste was. It was also made by Armani & cost around £70 more which I was going to put towards the cost of the watch I wanted. My GF said that was fine because at the time of purchase she was told she could return the watch as it was going to be a surprise gift and might need to be changed, she was told that would be fine as long as the watch was returned in the same condition with the receipt. So we went down to the Potteries Shopping Center in Stoke, where it was originally purchased. We explained to the assistant the problem & my GF immediately recognized the assistant as the same person who served her. After explaining the situation the assistant said it wasn't possible to be returned as it was a sale item. I pointed out that all the watches in the store were also sale items so for that reason couldn't be returned at which point he agreed. My GF then said dont you remember me? He rudely said he didn't and said Ive served too many people over xmas to remember them all. My GF said you told me it was OK to be returned & that the one we wanted was actually more expensive. He refused point blank to do anything about it & said you'l, have to ring head office but they won't do anything either as it is a sale item. Really disappointing service & head office weren't helpful either as they just confirmed what he had said. Ive since never worn the watch & it sits on top of my wardrobe gathering dust. Shame as it was an Armani watch as well.
