I have a much loved Raymend Weil wrist watch and found myself in The Watch Lab in Chester this week, having been directed there by a long establish jewellers in Chester. The jewellers saw the look of horror on my face at the thought of being parted from my beloved time piece for several weeks, as they would need to send it away for a new battery and reseal. I'm afraid I didn't notice the names of either Watch Lab employee, however the man that dealt with/served me was super efficient , with facts and figures extolling from him at a rate of knots! So much so that I was a bit taken aback! However, he said he could have my watch back with me within the hour, music to my ears! However, I felt I ought to go to another jewellers in Chester, one I had often used in the past, to see if the price I had been quoted was competitive! I asked the assistant there, can you replace my battery 'while I wait', to which she said 'yes'... I said 'and reseal it?', to which she replied, ' Oh no, we can't reseal them here, we have to send them away'!!! So I told her what I'd been quoted at The Watch Lab, and she agreed it sounded a fair price! So, I went straight back! I was offered a general clean up of my watch at a discounted rate due to the fact I was already having it worked on, to which I agreed! So, as long as the new battery does its job for as long as they said it would, I am highly delighted :) I have to say, I do like the idea of supporting a growing business, and I wish it well
