I took two garments that needed shortening. One was altered correctly but the other wasn't. The one that wasn't was for a special occasion and for me it was an expensive item of clothing. When I collected my garment and tried it on at home, one leg was longer than the other. Neither leg was even all round. I took my garment back to have it rectified but although it was taken up again it was still very uneven and still one leg longer than the other I tried it on in the shop and I still wasn't happy but they said it was fine. I took it home to show my family and ask their opinion, they said no way had it been taken up properly. I was told that it was the material that made it like that but as I said surely this should have been pointed out and then we could have taken is elsewhere. On my third visit, the manager did try to rectify but I still wasn't happy. The manager was much nicer & I believe tried to sort it out. I was very unhappy with the attitude of the owner of the Staines branch. He didn't seem to be bothered that we were upset about it because he has 'thousands of customers that are happy'. They did offer to refund our money for the alterations but I was concerned that if took the refund and the outfit was ruined we would not be able to do anything about. The manager did try to rectify and although we wasn't happy we just wanted to get out of the shop and get it sorted elsewhere. I can't believe I am the only person that has been unhappy with their alterations. I have since taken it elsewhere and have had it rectified at additional cost.
