My policy was taken out through a broker, but it's crucial to be cautious of the high rate of finance charged, as well as the potential for misleading information and poor communication from them and, subsequently, Source Insurance.
The policy was not fit for purpose, and it was cancelled twenty-one months in without as much as an apology. I would advise you shop around.

Yes, the FOS found that Source Insurance had not done anything wrong. It is a clever way to operate by keeping the responsibility at arm's length and through brokers at times.
I think it would be better business practice to ensure the end user is provided with their documents sooner than 20 months after the policy has been taken out. To then cancel and offer a £10 refund due to a mistake in paperwork is not really an example of recovering a poor situation you were involved with.
If there had been any acknowledgement or apology, there would have been more understanding and potential for a five-star good recovery of service review.
