About 6 weeks ago, (January ‘25), I took my watch to Timpsons, Morrisons, Anlaby. Eat Yorkshire, as it was slowly losing time. I assumed it was the battery for which I have a lifetime’s guarantee from Timpsons and informed him.
I was asked to leave it with him and come back in 20 minutes.
I continued shopping but returned after about 10 minutes, to be told,
“Nothing wrong with the battery”.
In my opinion, he never even looked at it but didn’t want to use a “free” battery. The watch continued losing time even more.
We went on holiday for a month, leaving my watch at home, and on our return, I took my watch to Timpsons, Tesco’s, Hull and asked him to check the battery. He looked at it and immediately stated, “Yes, it’s the battery, I can see it is”
2 weeks later, the watch I was considering throwing away is keeping perfect time with its new battery. What a difference between stores!
Obviously next time we need anything we’re going to Timpsons Hull.
