Titan products are great, but the pricing ogres are terrible. Everyone I know who purchases from Titan has been screwed by pricing. Twice, I've ordered a product that goes on sale a couple of days or even the next business day (late Saturday purchase that went on sale on Monday), and It makes me feel stupid. Then, I'm mad about the purchase before it even arrives.
I think Titan would do itself a great service to shed its price-gouging reputation. Follow respected companies like Costco that will price match within a reasonable period, such as 30 days. Titan asks me to go above and beyond, which I'm happy to do as a good citizen when parts are missing from a delivery. In this situation, the chipper I ordered is missing the bolts and nuts from the chute, which means I am unable to use my product and need to drive an hour roundtrip to Lowes to buy the missing parts. And while Titan offered to reimburse costs, considering the items will probably be less than $10, I'm not likely to take the time to submit the claim. Again, I'm not upset about the missing parts, as mistakes happen, but it's especially rich when Titan doesn't provide the same treatment to its customers in return.
