Like everyone else whom is about to embark on breast augmentation, I wanted as much information as I could get my hands on.
From my first visit at Transform, I felt at ease by the wonderful freindy staff and was given more than enough information and advice to keep me going till I met the surgeon.
The clinc was immaculate and had a calm atmosphere. When it came to meeting my surgeon Paul Clarke, me and my partner did have to wait an usually long time but it was worth the wait.
Day of surgery I was understandably anxious (more concerned about the pain and aftermath !) we arrived at the Pines in Manchester early the Saturday morning where I was greeted and taken to my room.
My blood pressure etc was taken (it was high as you can imagine) I got changed into my paper knickers and gown and waited to see the anaesthesiologist whom was lovely and went through everything with me.
Time soon came for me to go down into surgery, and a lovely nurse accompanied me down there, before I knew it I was on the bed and ready to go with a needle in my left hand putting me gently to sleep.
Groggy and feeling almost drunk I came round with the same nurse talking to me, I even felt like I was drunk when talking to her, I couldn't of been very cohearant at all. I didn't feel any pain just tightness, looking down I pondered at my new shaped breasts - they looked fab !
It wasn't long before i was taken back to my room where I felt a little punch drunk and stiff but no pain.
A cup of tea and a few ginger buscuits later and my tummy felt a lot more settled, my head not so fuzzy.
The nurses and staff were wonderful, couldn't do enough for me. The oddest bit i found was sleeping and going to the loo with the drains, you have to carry these two bottles attached to you with tubes, strange sensation and made me feel a little woozy but all part and parcel of a healthy recovery.
I stayed over night at the Pines and I have to say it was a pleasant one, the food was lovely and the presence of the nursing staff keeping a check on my blood pressure throughout the night etc made me feel in safe hands. The place was immaculate.
I was glad to go home the next day, sore, aching but with no pain. You're given pain killers and antibiotics to take home with you, mine lasted over 5 days.
I only felt the need to take pain killers on the 3rd day after my surgery. Plenty of rest and ice packs are the key.
It will be a week tomorrow that I had my surgery and each day I have improved considerably, I looking forward to the following weeks when my new enhanced boobs start to settle down.
If anyone was asking me about breast augmentation and going with Transform, i would not hesitate to recommend them or Paul Clarke.
