I would have given Triads the top rating of Very Good, but I feel their customer service regarding returns prevents me from doing so. First I have to say that the quality of the three items I ordered was excellent and my order (worth £123.50) arrived on the date promised. So at that point all was well and I was extremely satisfied. Unfortunately, one of the items (worth £26) had been duplicated by another family member and as I was not able to give my gifts to the recipient til 4th January, we were all unaware there had been a duplication until then. I checked Triads returns policy and my understanding was that I needed to apply for a return authorisation by 4th January, which I did immediately. I received an unsigned one line response advising "you are outside our xmas returns time". I tried again, explaining as above. Again, an unsigned one line reply reiterating above and adding "sorry all stores have cut off xmas returns now". I tried for an exchange with a more expensive item and requested a name be attached to their reponse. One line reply advised this was not possible as returns closed 4th Jan. A name was attached this time but I should not have had to ask! Not very professional customer service and I have since found a phrase on their website which says, if you are outside the returns period please get in touch!!! Why? when there is obviously no leeway or allowance for exceptional circumstances. Shame .. items are excellent quality but I would think twice about using Triads again. BB 08/01/16
