Received my “mamey” order quickly. The mameyes were not ripe yet which is the ideal way to receive fruits. By now, of the 7 mameyes, 6 are ripe and the last one is almost there. We freeze the pulp in individual ziplock freezer bags and treat ourselves to mamey shakes, just very cold milk and mamey in the blender. This is one of the fruits that was a staple in my house growing up in Cuba, and it is at the present time still one of my favorite fruits. As always, Customer Service is great at Tropical Fruit Box. We live in the North East, so this company offers us what we cannot find here in fruit selection. We are happy to have found them on line.
