Actually when we did the inside window measurements we measured at the botton. Unfortunately the top width measurement was a centimetre wider. Although a friend put it up (we are octegenarians!) it was very difficult and the blind is stuck about eight inches from the sill. Hopefully he will come back and dig out some plaster to try and get it to fit.....
Not your fault and the blind itself is fine.
