Which is very pointless and useless when actual help and action is required in real time. I request a rep to attend the meeting with HR as the meeting invite stated a union rep can attend to accompany. At this stage there was lots of complications regarding employment and needed extra support and assistance. Union said we do not send reps. Despite the meeting invite stated rep can accompany. Union said no sorry. And will only send if you been an active member for a “long time”. I asked how long. They said it depends but would say years. At this moment I thought what was the point of this. Union said they can provide “telephone advice”. Verbal advice and guidance.
