In November 2019, I ordered a Hyperdrive USB-C Charging Hub and a Hyperdrive Wireless Car Charger from Hyper based on good reviews of their products.
After ordering, the product took 6 weeks to arrive, most of which time I received no updates on the status of the order.
When I received the products I quickly realised that the car charger did not hold my phone securely in its cradle. When I drive, the phone jostles along and rattles as I go over minor bumps in the road. The charging function works fine, but it is very irritating to have the phone constantly making noise.
I was initially happy with the USB-C hub which worked ok for a few weeks. Last Monday I arrived back in the office and none on the connected peripherals worked, and pass-through charging was no longer available.
I had to send a video of the problem to Hyper to prove that the product was faulty. Once their team verified that the product was faulty, they informed me that I needed to pay for postage to return it to them.
I can only assume that the replacement will take another 6 six weeks to arrive, and I have little confidence that the new product will meet my needs.
I have also purchased a GaN Charger from them which is now over a month late and I have no idea when it will arrive. I realise now that I should have chosen products from a more established company
I would avoid purchasing from Hyper as I don't believe that they have quality products, a reliable supply chain, or empathy when it comes to customer
