Please note that when I first attempted to setup a new account, I was connected to the internet via a VPN as I normally am. The setup process included a "prove you are not a robot" step, however the CAPTCHA or whatever verification challenge never appeared on the screen and going to the next step in the process returned an error. I tried two different browsers (Brave and Microsoft Edge) with the same results.
Turning off my VPN temporarily solved the issue and I was able to create a new account.
