I love Upshift! And have recommended it to many friends. I think the offerings are diverse and payment is very prompt. I will definitely continue to pick up shifts! :)
I do want to share a thought though about an area that could use improvement. Upshift has become quite large but it’s mostly impossible to speak with someone real time. Early morning or late night I totally understand. But normal business hours? It’s a runaround and I don’t feel like poking around texting someone who may or may not answer about something that needs resolved or there is a question about. I think one time I literally texted over the course of two-three days to clear my name (or try) about an event and why I couldn’t make it…in line with this concern, I realize this is gig work and you have pretty straightforward rules that are easy to follow - but I was locked out for a very lucrative week during the holiday timeframe last year due to a flat tire (unfort the flat was my third call off under 24 hours). It was an extremely early shift and I even took pictures of the flat and sent them over…nope, no exception to the rule. I understand… well, sort of...but it bothered me that I was now compared against someone who literally doesn’t show up and therefore, locked out with zero debate.
Anyway, overall I love Upshift but thought I would offer a few of my thoughts. Thank you for the opportunity to review!
