I hired US Authors Avenue to handle illustrations, publishing, and website development for my book under a formal written agreement totaling $3,000. The contract clearly promised unlimited revisions until final approval and a firm delivery deadline of April 2, 2025. Not only did they miss the deadline by months, but they also demanded additional payment midway through the project, claiming that correcting their own mistakes somehow constituted a “revamp” rather than a revision. This was nothing more than a manipulative attempt to extract more money — despite the agreement explicitly stating unlimited revisions. When I stood my ground and refused to pay for work they were contractually obligated to deliver, they stopped the project entirely and withheld my files, including completed illustrations. This was a clear and intentional breach of contract. To make matters worse, they accepted payment from a third party (Adam) without my consent just to resume the work — effectively going around me, the sole client on record. Adam chose to do this on his own, but that doesn’t excuse the company’s actions. Holding a fully paid project hostage until someone else pays more is unethical and disgraceful. They finally gave me my deliverables, but i was promised a publish ready book, but this was far from it! This company is unprofessional, manipulative, and unreliable. They exploited my project, disregarded the written agreement, and caused months of stress and delay. I strongly urge other authors and creatives to stay far away from US Authors Avenue. Your money — and your dream — deserve better.
