I made a purchase from Value Basket in good faith that the product would be shipped from stock. It appears that the item (a camera) had to be shipped from Hong Kong. As a result, I received several voicemails from the courier (DHL) telling me that I must pay £15 for import duties, VAT and admin charges before they would release the item!!! As this happened over the weekend, I could not reach DHL - who could not be bothered to call but rather left BT voicemails. I do not expect I will use Value Basket ever again since the process is simply too painful and stressful. I doubt that I will receive the gift (for my wife) by Christmas now - I am very disappointed.
