This is a very well built product. It is sturdy and well balanced. It is heavy though. The reason is because it is built with strong steel. You can't have both, light and strong built. It just doesn't work that way. I can pick it up, carry it, and put it in the hinge by myself but I am strong guy. But you will definitely need 2 people to do that. Putting it together wasn't difficult for me. I am a handy guy, but I can see where it can be a bit challenging for some to put it together. The loading of the bikes isn't hard. The strapping system is very well thought out. I like that! Once all the bikes are loaded and it is time to push the rack up to lock it in place, it is a bit heavy. Again I am strong enough to be able to do that. My wife can't do it. She tried. You will need to people to do that as well, but you will have plenty of help anyway by the simple fact that you are loading 6 bikes anyways. I am very happy with this product. I have no complains at all. It is built very well, with good and strong gauge materials and is easy to load and unload the bikes. Congratulations on the creation of this nice bike rack.
