VIATOR is a scam that TRIPADVISOR uses to chat people out of money. When I called viator to book a full day tour in NYC they were very "hard sell" but I went ahead and booked a tour for myself and 3 friends.
The day off the tour we arrived at the address started in their webpage (777 8th Ave) to find that it is closed and had moved SEVERAL BLOCK AWAY and no instructions how to get to the new location.... Would have been nice if they had spent less time hard selling and updated their website and given accurate information.
We finally found the new place and were told to get or tour was not running today because it was a Jewish holiday..... WTF!! I'm not Jewish; how some Christian workers and don't ruin people's vacations.
Amazing that they couldn't read a calendar when I was making the reservation and told me then that the day I had selected was not available.
Bottom line is that VIATOR AND TRIPADVISOR are liars, the have no customer service, they will run your holiday and do not care about you. When told or tour was cancelled I asked for a refund and they just looked at me coldly and said "call the office that you booked it through".
