Although disappointed that the river levels did not allow us to cruise the Elbe all the way we had an excellent holiday. This was mainly due to the staff of both vessels and the excellent tour manager. Extra visits were arranged and we had a wonderful excursion to Leipzig as an extra. Leipzig is not a place that I have ever thought of visiting but an excellent experience and visit was had. I know that we had extra coach travel that we could have done without but the tour manager tried his best to keep everyone up to date and provided excellent alternatives in my opinion. It was not his or Vikings fault that the water levels were to low to allow a cruise all the way down the Elbe to Prague. There were unhappy people on the cruise but they are the sort of people who would complain about anything making themselves miserable and the tour mangers job extremely difficult. This was our 3rd trip with Viking and we have already booked another for this year to Portugal. I would probably say that it was no3 on my list but considering the other 2 were Russia and China I think that most people would put it in 3rd place. As I said it was no ones fault about the lack of rainfall and to have a good holiday you have to make the best of all situations and we had a great time
