Bought a Skoda Octavia last year from Vindis Skoda in Milton Rd and got defective keys that required us to change the car key batteries 8x in one year. We went to the Service Center in Waterbeach for all the vehicle health checks and services, including MOT. From the receipts, we have been there at least 6x this year. Every time we asked if there is something wrong with the keys because it doesn’t make sense to keep changing the keys every 1-1.5 months. They always disregarded the complain and said it’s because of usage. Once warranty is over earlier this month, they offered us to get a diagnostic test (£60) and the result of the test proves that the keys are defective and faulty. They are now charging us for new keys and coding process (£264 in total). Very irresponsible and not recommended. What’s the use of going to the official service center?
