Looks like it may be still working in ten yrs time. Has a design flaw though. It comes with a fancy tool to screw the base on the jug real tight. Why because the motor drives left handed and the base screws on right handed. Found this out with initial cleaning. Fortunately just with water and a few drops of detergent. While finding out how everything worked suddenly there is water all over the bench. Yes the motor forces unscrewed the base to jar while the jar on the motor. Yes I had not used the tool to tighten the bits together. There was NO MENTION of this need in the instruction manual. You would have a better star rating IF the manual had warned me of the risk of my smoothie everywhere not wanted.
