I wish I could leave a negative star review. Absolutely appalling company to deal with. The service level is none existent. We had a family member who became long term seriously ill in hospital to the point of not being able to communicate so we contacted Vodaphone with all the evidence of this and requested to cancel the monthly phone subscription as they obviously were not able to use it. We were prepared to pay early cancellation fees, send the phone back, anything at all to make it a smooth transaction as we didn't need hassle at this very difficult family time. Vodaphone constantly refused to deal with us as they had to speak to the registered customer only. We explained (with evidence) that this was not physically possible due to illness but they said they could do nothing and would keep just taking the monthly payment. We sent letters from the hospital, a copy of a power of attorney, everything and still they would not cancel the agreement or even let us pay it off as they wanted to speak to the account holder (who is in a coma). They promised us calls back that never happened, they didn't keep records of the conversations and requests we made, they gave us totally incorrect information each time we spoke. Absolutely no understanding for our difficult position. Eventually after literally months and months of this (with the payment being taken all the time for a phone that is not being used) they eventually agreed to cancel the contract when we threatened legal action. We paid early cancellation fees etc and did everything correctly. We thought this was finally the end of it until we received a threatening letter from them saying the monthly payments weren't being met as the direct debit had been cancelled and they were going to take legal action. When we phoned they said there was no record of the account ever being closed even though we have all of the payment receipts, records of the time and date and staff member who did it etc. They are genuinely the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Avoid them like the plague if you can. Appalling.
