Waitrose Ampthill - James Bond and Rent A Cop the Dynamic Stupid Duo
WAITROSE AMPTHILL JUST SHOCKING .....
Well What can I say.... it all started on a sunny afternoon
First time visit to Waitrose AMPTHILL and because I was wearing a black jacket and the sun was shining the moment I entered the store I was under the watchful eye of rent a cop who was about 90 and grossly overweight
If I wanted to steal something Waitrose it wouldn’t be hard
Being 56 years of age I’m a doctor by trade and have never stole a thing in my life , I only called in to Waitrose Ampthill as I was on my way to Bedford Hospital from Luton
As I did my shop it became obvious to me that every isle I went down a member of Waitrose staff was watching me or standing extremely close to me pretending to be doing something , whilst rent a cop watched from the end of isle , I thought nothing at first until I went to the next isle and then same again , I was wondering if I looked funny or something so I went to the third isle , by this time the staff had gone to help a customer who asked a question and rent a cop stood within 5 yards of me , I needed a drink but the other £40 worth of items including batteries for my DAB radio at work and Men’s moisturising cream for my hands I put back , I carried on and put my theory to the rest , I was right as the rent a cop followed me all round the store , I even picked up a few more items just to throw him off , when I went to the self checkout James Bond the super spy staff member who pretended to be doing something and Rent A Cop where both watching a screen that obviously showed what I purchased but didn’t notice that I had already clocked on to what they where doing for the past 15 minutes
when I had finished I then approached them and asked them if he did this to all customers who entered the store , they blushed , mumbled and walked away towards a staff door and disappeared out back
15 minutes of my life wasted and made to feel that shopping at Waitrose is a criminal offence not to mention the embarrassment and the made to feel very very very unwelcome in store
The staff where rude and it was a very uncomfortable trip to the shop to buy lunch before work
I wonder if Waitrose treat all people who where black motorbike jackets the same or is it just the “I’m a snobs shop” and you don’t fit in
I appreciate you have shop lifters but never judge a book by it’s cover and if you suspect someone , wait until they leave the store as you have zero powers until they actually leave the store with your goods , regardless of shopping habits that may in your eyes cause suspicious behaviour and wearing a jacket isn’t one of them as long as someone doesn’t leave the premises or open the product to take contents out then no offence has been caused
I shall never shop there again and to be honest the out of stocks on the products I wanted including oranges , a drink , a sandwich , some milk and tea bags was amazing as I could have only purchase 50% of what I needed even if Rent a Cop and James Bond the Super Staff spy wasn’t watching my every move
Yours Sincerely
