Our stay at Waveney River Centre was really good. However when you are paying the same as a 5 star hotel in London, for the stay (in excess of £330 per night), you therefore expect things to be perfect and unfortunately a few minor niggles took the shine off the stay.
A few examples:
The vegetation around the property needed attention, as a result there were brambles and stinging nettles encroaching onto the terrace area making parts of it difficult to use. In addition due to the height of the vegetation along the property it blocked the view from the hot tub to a small 2 foot section instead of having a full panoramic view, which was really disappointing as this was one of the key features we were looking forward to for our stay.
There was a lack of anywhere to hang a towel in the en-suite bathroom, a simple hook on the back of the door would suffice.
Some of the blinds in the property were filthy, and hadn’t been cleaned for a considerable time meaning you got covered in dust when operating them.
Finally, we fully understood the reason for the reduced inventory in the kitchen but limiting the plates to only four made catering for a family very difficult. An additional 4 side plates would have assisted enormously.
A lack of any Printed instructions about the property is understandable in the current situation but access to an online / digital pack would assist guests.
I hope these points can be considered to improve the enjoyment for future guests
