I wish I could give this company 0 stars, but had to give them one. I had insured my wedding band and ring with this company and have worked in insurance for 10 plus years and thought it would be a good company with the reputation and my mom insuring her auto and home. Unfortunately, in June, my husband and I had gone tubing and my rings had fallen out of the waterproof bag that I always put them in. I had called devastated about my rings and praying to get them replaced. I filed my claim and had an adjuster said I needed to do a recorded statement, which I was thinking would be my statement about what happened. It was one of the worst calls I have EVER had in my entire life. It was almost two hours when she knew I was on my lunch break at work and had 45 minutes. She asked me every single detail of my life, why I moved to GA, details about growing up, my financial situation with my husband, if we had any credit cards, credit, this I might be past due on and how much were owed and pretty much every violating detail I would expect if I was in an interrogation by the police. It felt like the most violating and unprofessional call that I told my husband after we were done with this company and would have to replace the rings when we could because she made me feel so uncomfortable. She told me I needed to file a police report, fill out a CREDIT REPORT and she needed my receipt from purchase and check with the jewelry company. I then ignored the calls because I was going to move my insurance elsewhere and replace out of our pocket because after talking to several managers & claims adjusters at my own insurance company I worked at and described the call, they also told me not to move forward with the claim because of what happened. They constantly harassed us, called every single family member that was tubing with us that I did not give permission for her to do and had already explained what all happened on a call with that adjuster at a family dinner, so the last thing my family wanted to do was speak to her. I then had legal papers sent to me to speak to an attorney for a recorded statement. This was all over 11,000 worth of a wedding band set. I can’t even fathom or imagine the people insuring hundreds of thousands or millions on jewelry and collectibles and them filing a claim with how I was treated reporting I lost the two pieces of jewelry that meant the world to me and was literally bawling while reporting it. Please please please do not go through the hell on earth that I did and such a traumatizing and violating experience and did not even move forward with replacing them. Please choose another company or schedule them on your homeowners policy or invest in anyone else than Chubb and from my experience, my mom also moved her insurance and was paying a fortune to have them also.
