Ordered a garden furniture set and was given an extended delivery date which I assume was due to covid-19. 40days later!!, and on the date it was due to be delivered I received an email (after close of business hours), with a totally inadequate explanation. It explain due to unusual warehouse circumstances they were no longer able to deliver my order. Adding insult to injury it would be 4-6 weeks! Meaning I could have been waiting 82 days!! Straight away I called customer services only to be told that there was nothing they could do or give a more detailed account of this delay. My suspicion is they were out of stock when I placed the order. I’ve cancelled the order and now have to wait 5 days for a refund (why customers have to wait days for refunds is beyond me, especially when payment is takeen straight away)! I asked for a call from a senior manager which I was promised would happed the following day. Guess what, they didn’t call. Annoyingly, I’d explained that I’m disabled and I’d prepared an area for the furniture at cost to my health, and that I could have bought furniture from another supplier in time for my Daughters 18th. And now everywhere is out of stock. The moral of this story is - read wayfair reviews and don’t buy from them. Customer service is appalling and goods don’t don’t turn.
