Bad bad bad. Samsung warranty repair, battery and screen. Was booked in for a warranty repair with samsung. First engineer was a no show , I get a call from 15 mins before the appointment to say he didn’t have the parts. Rebooked it, the second engineer came, took my phone then half an hour later I get a call to show my proof of purchase, so I hand it over to him in his van. Notice my phone in parts on the table. The sly part is what comes next, basically he tells me the battery isn’t covered under Samsung warranty and if it was it’s only covered for 12 months. I said to him that’s not right and that’s no what I’ve been advised by Samsung themselves. He then says the screen burn isn’t that bad- whilst acknowledging the burn was there. Basically they tried to catch me out with providing proof of purchase because they didn’t want to do the job. I get my phone back, in the same state I left it in plus a couple marks where they pried it open. Samsung have apologised and are collecting the phone directly but it’s definitely not good enough. Will be filing formal complaints with both companies.
