Stay clear of this outfit. Transferred money 2 weeks ago and sent my ID verification documents at the same time that I opened my account. Still waiting for ID verification. I have spoken to them every day, escalated the case and every time the support team can't resolve a thing. After wasting 2 weeks, numerous hours on the phone, I have decided that I would retrieve my money and cancel my account. Not so easily done! Customer service has been useless and although , my money is my account, it appears that Wealthsimple has taken ownership and won't let me move it out. I am ready to file against them in small claims court unless they return my funds and close my account. You are well advised to look elsewhere. This is a joke of a company that will frustrate the hell out of you
