I’ve travelled to the Isle of Wight several times on the Wightlink ferry from Lymington to Yarmouth return. Usually it’s to visit friends during the Festival in June. The online booking system is excellent and it’s very easy to make changes once booked, should it be necessary. Tickets arrive in an email confirming the booking, the times, dates and a QR code. The QR code allows a rapid and efficient arrival process. On arrival, the staff are friendly and we were directed to our boarding lane. Boarding was straightforward with clear marshalling by the staff to a parking spot on the ferry. The ferry was clean and appeared well maintained. There was adequate inside and outside seating. The WCs were clean and tidy. There is a cafeteria on board with a good range of snacks, soft drinks, hot drinks and some alcoholic beverages at reasonable prices. The cafeteria staff were friendly and queuing was minimal. On arrival at our destination, we were summoned to our vehicles and there was sufficient time allowed to get to the vehicle and make ourselves comfortable. The same quality of marshalling by the staff allowed us to drive safely off the ferry to begin our onward journey. All in all, a great sailing experience. Thank you Wightlink.
