Where to begin?! I cannot say enough good things about my experience with the Akin platform. The compassionate, holistic, collaborative care I received from each provider was unparalleled to any model of care I’ve experienced - start to finish. From integrative midwifery consults and virtual labor support with the amazing Hayley Oakes, to lactation support with Evonne, to pelvic floor therapy; I really felt as though I had a full team behind me at all times that I could turn to without question. Throughout my pregnancy and into my postpartum journey it was clear that each of my providers were in regular communication and up to date on where I was at - both physically and emotionally. If I needed to bring on a new provider at any point, I knew I would be in good hands, with a group that already knew me and my health history. This was extraordinarily comforting. Hayley Oakes is an angel in human form, and if you’re questioning whether her services are for you, this is your sign to BOOK HER :) Hayley’s nurturing wisdom and practical advice during our consultations helped prepare both my body and mind for birth and postpartum. During labor, she was integral in helping my partner position me to keep things moving along - setting intentions but releasing expectations. Hayley empowered me to make informed decisions about my care, (and ultimately have the birth I wanted), for which I will be forever grateful.
